This week’s poignant moment of inspiration has come unexpectedly from a Thai telecommunications conglomerate known as True. The three-minute video created by the large for-profit corporation is entitled “Giving”, which chronicles the story of a humble shop keeper who is suddenly repaid for some of the selfless and caring deeds that he performed over the course of his life.
Each day our thoughts, actions and choices construct the world that we live in. This excellent short concisely highlights the importance of sharing, compassion and giving, while also illustrating the power inherent in our gift economy, and how we are all intrinsically connected. The film is beautifully executed, emotionally moving, and is really worth watching.
