With over 6000 activities planned across the globe and over 2000 right here in the United States, 350.org’s Global Work Party on 10/10/10 promises to be one of the most widespread days of political action ever. It is sending a strong message to politicians about taking action on climate change while at the same time building local communities.
And it has got the attention of the White House. Not only has the White House announced they will be installing a solar system next spring, they have asked if they could talk with some of the people organizing events across the country. I will be joining the call at 5 p.m. tomorrow with Jon Carson, Chief of Staff at President Obama’s Council on Environmental Quality. 350.org organizer Bill McKibben will be also be on the line.
